Clinical staff member Candace “Candy” Smith is passionate about helping people who stutter. She uses her medical background and behavioral therapy expertise to help HCRI stuttering therapy participants maximize treatment outcomes. Before joining the HCRI team, Candy worked as a Registered Nurse for more than 20 years. She received her early training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing and has managed a successful behavioral wellness program. She received an award and recognition for significant contributions to the growth and success of programs she has managed.
Extensively trained and experienced in administering the HCRI stuttering therapy program, Candy has worked with clients of all ages and has treated a full range of stuttering types and severities. Her exemplary interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills serve our clients well.
