Clinical staff member Candy Smith is passionate about helping people who stutter. She uses her medical background and behavioral therapy expertise to help HCRI stuttering therapy participants maximize treatment outcomes. Candy has completed HCRI's rigorous, 500-hour clinician certification program, a training requirement of all clinicians who administer the institute's therapy program.
Before joining the HCRI team, Candy worked as a registered nurse for more than 20 years. She received her early training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing and has managed a successful behavioral wellness program. She received an award and recognition for significant contributions to the growth and success of programs she has managed.
Extensively experienced in delivering HCRI stuttering therapy, Candy has worked with clients of all ages and has treated a full range of stuttering types and severities. Her exemplary interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills serve our clients well.
